Volunteer drivers needed
      GENESEE COUNTY — The American Red Cross Genesee- Lapeer Chapter Med-A-Ride Program needs volunteer drivers. The Genesee-Lapeer Chapter works with Lapeer County residents who need help with transportation to out of town medical appointments.

Humane Society offers Kid’s Camp
      BURTON — The Humane Society of Genesee County is offering a summer camp for children ages 6- 15 who are interested in learning about animals. Children will learn about pet grooming, vet care, dog training, animal crafts and so much more. The camp is Aug.18-20, from 4:30-6 p.m. The cost is $36 per child. Registration is required.

      FLINT — Forty years and Facebook is bringing the Kearsley High School Class of 1970 in Flint together for a Recession Proof Reunion. The reunion, fondly dubbed the “Piciunion,” will be a simple picnic where everyone brings their own food and drink.

Sports equipment donations being accepted
      BURTON — Donated equipment for all sports will be accepted at the Burton Youth League Awards banquet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 31 at Bendle High School, 2283 E. Scottwood Ave. Equipment and cash donations will also be collected throughout the year and distributed to those in need in the community.
